The RSPB works for a healthy environment rich in birds and wildlife; it depends on the support and generosity of others to make a difference.

Our quality of life is inseparable from a better environment, in which wild birds can thrive.

The RSPB, supported by a million members, manages 150 nature reserves for wildlife on specific sites. Beyond these, we work to ensure that problems such as climate change receive urgent attention; that farmers and rural communities can prosper while wildlife thrives.

We help young people learn about the environment on which we all depend and for which they will soon become responsible.

The RSPB works in partnership with many people and organisations, both in the UK and internationally.

We work with those in industry, land managers and users, statutory and public bodies, local authorities and other conservation organisations. We are funded mainly by voluntary contributions.

Our work is based on sound scientific and economic research and helps us understand more about the problems facing birds and the countryside, and find the solutions.

The RSPB is the largest wildlife conservation organisation in Europe. Thanks to the mandate and support of our one million members, we can influence decisions affecting the environment and really get things done.
