Martin is a former Defra employee who has been involved with Britain’s free-living wild boar since they became established in the 1990s. He has a PhD in wild boar ecology and has published numerous articles and books on the species. Martin authors the www.britishwildboar.org.uk website.
Mar 20 "Moroccan Spice – Birds of the Sahara Desert to the High Atlas" by Neil Glenn
Neil’s talk covers the birds and other wildlife (a few plants, insects and a mammals but mainly birds) on a journey from the Sahara Desert, through semi-desert, lush estuaries and then into the Atlas Mountains. This diverse range of habitats supports populations of much sought after Western Palearctic birds including ten species of larks, nine wheatears, the amazing Houbara Bustard and a few species British birders will be familiar with as well.
